Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival announces the departure of Emma Porteous, Project & Communications Manager, a key figure in the organisation’s remarkable growth prior to, and recovery and growth following the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During her time with the festival, Emma has been instrumental in expanding the festival’s reach and engagement with the public. Through strategic initiatives across print, digital, and broadcast platforms, she has fostered a deeper connection with audiences, solidifying the festival’s position as a vital cultural asset in the region.

Emma has also been a strong advocate for the festival’s youth engagement strategy, nurturing the next generation of artists and art enthusiasts. Additionally, her contributions to the year-round Arts Live programme have been pivotal in bringing quality performing arts to more people and places in Dumfries & Galloway than ever before.
